t2 In the Running to Win an IT ‘Oscar’ - 11/05/2009t2 Nominated for ICT Excellence Awardt2 is in the running to win an Irish IT ‘Oscar’ at this year’s ICT Excellence Awards. Competing in the hotly contested ‘Web Development Company of the Year’ category, t2 is the only non-Dublin based web development firm chosen, by a judging panel of heavy hitters from some of Ireland’s leading IT and business firms, to compete for the prestigious Award.

t2 faces stiff competition in the category from some of Ireland’s biggest and longest established web development companies. Formed in 2004, t2’s swift ascension to developing websites of the highest quality, using leading edge technologies, has been deemed as a major achievement by the ICT Excellence Awards judging panel.
“We’re delighted with our shortlisting in the ‘Web Development Company of the Year’ category. Win, lose or draw, it’s a major achievement for such a young and growing company like ours to receive an endorsement like this. It’s especially gratifying as I’ve always believed that we provide web design and development services of equal excellence to the larger Dublin-based firms, while our location outside of the capital allows us to pass on cost efficiencies and savings to our clients, which they frequently cannot. So it’s a win win for us and our clients!” said Andrew Tobin, Managing Director, t2.
“At the end of the day we just want to continue to do great work, which delivers real results for our clients’ businesses. That said, award nominations are always welcome and this one, because of its prestigious and high profile nature, is the icing on the cake and we’re very excited to be the only regionally based company competing” continued Tobin.
Formed by husband and wife team Andrew and Jane Tobin, t2 provides award winning website development, IT support and software development services to an expanding range of national clients. The company’s talented web developers have previously been nominated both for National Golden Spider and Netvisionary Awards. The firm was named as one of Ireland’s Top Three SMEs at the National Enterpise Awards in November last year and also won the ‘Innovation in e-Business Award’ at the 2008 County Carlow Chamber Awards.
t2 will be competing to be named Ireland’s ‘Web Development Company of the Year’ at a black-tie Gala Dinner, attended by over 600 of Ireland’s IT and Web leaders, in the Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire, on May 21st 2009.
