A Carlow based IT solutions and web development firm has been named as one of Ireland’s Top 3 small companies. t2, founded and run by husband and wife team Andrew and Jane Tobin, picked up the award at the National Enterprise Awards at Dublin Castle this week. The awards were developed in 1997 to highlight the contribution that small companies make to Ireland’s economic development. t2 was the sole representative from the South East region at the national awards.
The company was singled out by the judges for its Top 3 position from eight other finalists from around the country for its high year-on-year growth rate, innovation in the development and application of new web-based technologies and excellent customer service levels, which sees t2 partnering with their clients to achieve profitable returns from doing business on the web.
Presented with their award by Minister for Trade and Commerce and local TD John McGuinness, t2 received a specially commissioned commemorative trophy and a substantial cash prize, at the ceremony.
Earlier this year, the company won the Carlow County Enterprise Board Award and fought for its place in the National Finals from among many other county finalists. Michael P. Kelly, CEO, Carlow County Enterprise Board congratulates t2 on it’s national award.
“This award is the result both of the hard work put in every day by our committed t2 team to constantly exceed our clients’ expectations, but also of the support and expertise we have received since our formation in 2004 from the hard working team at the Carlow County Enterprise Board.” commented Andrew Tobin, Managing Director, t2.
“It proves that you don’t have to be based in Dublin or Cork to do good work, which is recognised at a national level. We have always found Carlow a great place to do business, and as we continue with our plans to further develop our company, we will always remain committed to doing business in and for Carlow” concluded Tobin.
